NexonDeck Multimedia and Sprite Green to Host HU Bison’s Mixtape Release Party at DC hotspot, Lotus Lounge
JOIN BROADWAY MILLER AT HIS OFFICIAL MIXTAPE RELEASE PARTY! "CATCH UP OR GET CAUGHT" HIT THE UNDERGROUND HIP-HOP CIRCUIT NOVEMBER 23, 2009. SINCE THEN, THE SOUTHERN LYRICIST HAS BEEN FEATURED ON DMVUNPLUGGED, THE EXAMINER/DC,YOUHEARDTHATNEW.COM AND THE CHILL SPOT! AFTER ONLY TWO WEEKS, BROADWAY MILLER CONTINUES BUILDS STEADY BUZZ WITHIN DC AND SOUTHERN MARKETS

You may think you know Broadway Miller with tracks like "Break It Down", "Carolina Boujie" and "Letter to the Hood", Broadway displays a progressive lyrical ability and originality missing from the hip-hop game. "Carolina Boujie", according to Broadway, is "an ode back to North Carolina. I'm from the Cack, but I've been to the city and back. Now I have both perspectives. So some people may call me 'Carolina Boujie', but really the track explains that I have simply evolved." That's not it! You have no f*&^$ing idea about Broadway's journey until you hear the mixtape in full, blazing through your speakers full throttle! Broadway, who wrote every track on the mixtape, describes "Catch Up or Get Caught" as a reflection of his life and his growth as an artist.

The HU student will have the opportunity to share this journey and the creative process behind the mixtape on Thursday, December 10, 2009. NexonDeck Multimedia and Sprite Green will host an official listening session for Broadway at the popular K Street hotspot, Lotus Lounge from 9-10pm. Guests will get to sample music from the new mixtape, meet and greet with Broadway, and compete for free give aways.

Since being released, "Catch Up or Get Caught" has been regarded by bloggers and fans as "a gift to rap music," and a "towering inferno" with "unique tracks". Currently nominated for North Carolina Underground Music Award’s Lyricist of the Year and ranked #4 among Beam’s Top 5 songs of the week with “Passenger Side”, Broadway’s buzz continues to grow along the east coast. With radio play in his home state of North Carolina and appearances at local DC nightclubs, the southern lyricist continues to hustle the support and respect of multiple demos.

Don't miss your chance to see what the buzz is all about!
